Notes. The identification of species of Microlestes is difficult since no modern revision is available at the moment.

The distribution of the species is also not well known. For the determination of species we relied mainly on Apfelbeck (1904), Jeannel (1942) and Lompe (2011). The study of material from the MMNH and private collection of the first author established five new species for the fauna of Macedonia (SH).
