Type host: Turdus rufiventris rufiventris Vieillot.
Type locality: Samaipata [as Samatpata], Bolivia .
Type material: Holotype male [slide 56544] and allotype female deposited in the USNM, from the Carriker collection [slide 16456]. Gustafsson & Bush (2017: 441) listed one male and one female as “ paratypes ” in the USNM incorrectly, because Ansari (1955f: 75) only examined one male, the holotype.
