Current status: Myrsidea antiqua Ansari, 1956f .
Type host: Turdus grayi grayi Bonaparte.
Type locality: Tlacotalpan , [“ Costa Rica ” in error], Veracruz, Mexico .
Type material: Ansari (1956f: 175) listed the holotype male, the allotype female and three paratypes (two males, one female) from the Carriker collection [slides 212a, 212b], but only the holotype is deposited in the USNM [slide 67993] .
