Diagnosis: Body length 9.10–9.60 mm; hemelytra and scutellum with vermiculate pattern and densely punctate ( Figs. 2A, C ); posterolateral corners of abdominal segments III–VI spinose and distinctly produced posteriorly ( Fig. 8E ); male abdominal tergum VII with posterior margin asymmetrical ( Fig. 7B ) (Rodrigues et al., unpublished data).

Comments: This species shares some morphological characteristics with P. subflavus , including the female subgenital plate with the posterior margin shallowly concave medially ( Figs. 9B, F ); abdominal tergum VIII broadly rounded ( Figs. 10B, F ); valvulae 1 smooth along the dorsal and lateral margins, with distal setal tufts ( Figs. 11B, F ); and the distal portion of the metapleura broadly rounded and only slightly projected ( Fig. 12A ). However, this species differs from P. subflavus by abdominal tergum VII asymmetrical in the males and abdominal tergum III with the posterolateral corner spinose.
