Superfamily Pleurotomarioidea Swainson, 1840 View in CoL Family Lophospiridae Wenz, 1938 Subfamily Lophospirinae Wenz, 1938 Genus Loxoplocus Fischer, 1885
Remarks.—Turriculate shells with V−shaped notch forming a narrow convex selenizone at the middle of whorl belong to genus Loxoplocus . Three subgenera are distinguished according to their spire height and the disjunction of their whorls. The protoconch of Loxoplocus is not known. Ontogenic development of teleoconch is equal except for the subgenus Loxoplocus (Loxoplocus) Fischer, 1885 , which is marked by the disjunct whorls in the gerontic stage.
