TYPE LOCALITY: Guyana, East Demerara-West Coast Berbice, "Hyde Park, 30 miles up the Demerara River."

DISTRIBUTION: Colombia, Peni, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, and scattered populations in Brazil.

SYNONYMS: bishopi Pine, 1981; juninensis Tate, 1931; pinheiroi Pine, 1981; woodalli Pine, 1981.

COMMENTS: Reviewed by Pine (1981) who recognized five subspecies.
