Holotype: ZISP 10531 View Materials , “ Prope Vernyi (prov. Semiretschenskaja )” [Almaty, Kazakhstan]. Leg.: A. A. Mathiessen, 18.V.1905.

Present name: Ablepharus deserti Strauch, 1868 fide Eremchenko & Szczerbak (1986).

Remarks: The original description appeared in the volume of the Annuaire of 1909, however, the pages 221– 352 was published in October 1908 ( Asanovich et al. 2007). This specimen also the type of Ablepharus turkestanicus Ahl, 1925 .
