Adelothyreus dejeani Bonvouloir, 1872

This rarely collected eucnemid has been recorded from Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi ( Muona 2000), and now for the first time in Alabama and Georgia. Specimens were taken from a blacklight trap and a Lindgren funnel trap. ALABAMA: Dale County: Level Plains , 16–19 April 2011, 25–26 April 2011, R. Turnbow ( RHTC) ; GEORGIA: Bibb County: 2.7 km WSW Walden, 26 April–9 May 2016, C. Barnes ( CMNH), Douglas County: 1.8 km SE Austell, 27 May–8 June 2016, E. Dendy ( CMNH), Grady County : 10.9 km NW Cairo, 17–30 April 2013, A. Tatum ( CMNH) .
