Sarpedon scabrosus Bonvouloir, 1875

This rarely seen eucnemid species was previously recorded in British Columbia and Ontario. In the United States, S. scabrosus was taken in Alabama, California, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin ( Muona 2000). New records reported here include

Michigan and Missouri. Specimens were taken from a rotary trap and a Lindgren funnel trap. MICHI- GAN: Saginaw County: St. Charles , 19 August 1968, James G. Truchan ( ARC) ; MISSOURI: St. Louis County: 2.5 km E Maryland Heights , 14–27 June 2016, L. Trevathan ( CMNH) .
