COMMENTS. Cheiloneurus feritas and argos are essentially of similar appearance to leda and the three species may be close because all have a relatively long, apically broad syntergum and similarly exserted ovipositor. However, both argos and feritas differ from leda in having the head relatively deeper, in profile about 1.4X as high as deep whereas in leda it is about 1.5X as high as deep. They also differ from leda in having the flagellum uniform dark brown, the scape not more than 3X as long as broad and the fore wing not more than 3.1X as long as broad, whereas in leda the funicle is mostly white or pale yellow, the scape is at least about 3.5X as long as broad and the fore wing is about 3.6X as long as broad.
