Notocyrtus ricciae Gil-Santana View in CoL & Costa, 2001
Discussion. Notocyrtus ricciae was described based on a single male from the state of Rondônia, in northern Brazil (Gil-Santana & Costa 2001). The holotype has the pronotum completely orange-yellow. However, a male recently collected in the state of Amapá, northern Brazil, has the pronotum dark with a transverse yellow fascia and somewhat pale third lobe (Fig. 18). The structure of the pronotum is the same as in the original description, but in the examined specimens the posterior margin of the third lobe is slightly emarginated (Figs. 18–19), a fact that was not mentioned or illustrated in the original description.
New figures of the head (Figs. 20–21), parameres (Fig. 22), phallus (Fig. 23–24), and distal process of endosoma (Fig. 25) are presented here to facilitate the identification of this species.
Distribution. The specimens examined below represents new state records for N. ricciae in Brazil.
