Material. 17 specimens (14 C, 3 V).

Description. Small ovoidal carapace. Overlap of the larger LV over the RV along whole outline, more pronounced ventrally than dorsally with a marked bow-shaped projection. Hmax at 2/3 posterior; Lmax slightly ventral; Wmax at 2/3 posterior. Well rounded dorsal and ventral margins. Dorsal and ventral margins almost symmetrical and clearly converging anteriorly, more slightly posteriorly. Posterior margin describing a large regular bow. Convex anterior margin, sharper than the posterior one. Posterior part of the carapace higher than anterior one. Surface smooth.

Discussion. These specimens show a smaller carapace, with a more arched anterior margin, than the one of Microcheilinella affinis Polenova, 1955 .

Occurrences. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mbs A, B and C), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
