Coeloenellina cf. vellicata Coen, 1985

(Pl. I: Fig. 17)

cf. 1985 Coeloenellina vellicata nov. sp.; Coen: pl. 3, figs. 8–9.

2013 Coeloenellina sp. B, cf. C. vellicata Coen ; Maillet: 68, pl. VII, fig. 18.

Material. 25 specimens (13 C, 12 V).

Description. Medium-sized elongated carapace, oval outline in lateral view, biconvex in dorsal view. Overlap of the larger RV over the LV slight, both ventrally and postero-dorsally. Hmax at 1/3 posterior; Lmax at 2/5 dorsal; Wmax almost median. Straight hinge line in a dorsal depression long of about 1/2 Lmax and becoming convex at its extremities. Ventral margin straight and anteriorly oblique on 1/2 Lmax in its middle part, becoming convex at its extremities. Dorsal and ventral margins converging anteriorly. Well-rounded and regularly convex anterior and posterior margins. Posterior part of the carapace higher than the anterior one. In ventral view, admarginal slight groove extending along the free margins of both valves. Surface smooth.

Discussion. Indisputably a Coeloenellina with its marginal sulcation on each valve along the line of closure. These specimens show less rectangular and less flat carapaces than C. vellicata Coen, 1985 . They also have similar general morphology to C. aviadosa Becker, 2001 .

Occurrence. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mbs A, B and C), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
