Material. 1 specimen (1 V).

Description. Medium-sized sub-oval carapace with straight dorsal margin. Hmax at 1/3 anterior; Lmax at 2/5 dorsal; Wmax at 1/3 anterior. Slightly convex ventral margin, posteriorly oblique. Ventral and dorsal margins almost parallel. Well rounded anterior and posterior margins, convex. Anterior part higher than posterior part. Flattened margins on the whole outline of the carapace. Overlap of the valves unknown. Surface smooth. Marked “V”-shaped adductorial sulcus slightly anterior and extending from dorsal margin to the centre of the valves. Preadductorial node is well visible.

Discussion. This single depleted-ornamentation specimen reminds of Knoxiella sp. 1 reported by Milhau (1982, 1983a, b, 1988) in the Ardenne and the Boulonnais.

Occurrence. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mb B), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
