This individual was found in the municipality of Pisaflores , Hidalgo, near the state of Querétaro. Wilson et al. (2013a) determined its EVS as 8, placing it in the low vulnerability category. The Granular-Scaled Lizard occurs in the states of Querétaro, from where it was first described, and Hidalgo. This individual was found in the municipality of Jacala de Ledezma , Hidalgo, near the state of Querétaro. In this study, and according to Wilson et al. (2013a), we determined its EVS as 16, placing it in the high vulnerability category. According to IUCN, its conservation status is unknown, and this species is not listed by SEMARNAT.
