Distribution in Iran. Alborz ( Kheradmand et al. 2002, 2005), Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1996a; Linnavuori 2007), Bushehr, Fars (Linnavuori 2011), Golestan, Guilan ( Wagner 1961; Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan ( Linnavuori 2004), Isfahan ( Ghahari et al. 2011; Razmjoo et al. 2011), Kerman, Khuzestan ( Seidenstücker 1958; Linnavuori 2011), Khorasan ( Seidenstücker 1957; Modarres Awal 1996b; Havaskary et al. 2010), Kohgiluyeh & Boyerahmad, Kordestan, Lorestan, West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2011), Semnan, Tehran, Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2007), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Kiritshenko 1966).

General distribution. Holomediterranean, extending into Central Europe, Middle East, Middle Asia, and Sudan.

Comments. N. cymoides was reported as a pest of panicle of Sorghum in Iran by Taghizadeh et al. (2002). In steppes, meadows, and fields ( Linnavuori 2007). Also on Onobrychis sp. and Solanum tuberosum ( Modarres Awal 1996a) .
