This species is recorded from the Neotropical region in Antigua (Lesser Antilles), Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guadalupe, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Suriname, Trinidad, Uruguay, and Venezuela ( Nilsson 2011). It is known from Campeche, Chiapas, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz (no precise locality) (Arce-Perez and Roughley 1999; Young 1979).
