Holotype, male. Length, pronotum + elytron: 2.58 mm. Coloration ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 10–18 ) uniformly piceous except scutellum, anterior surface of procoxa and a narrow band at base of pygidium golden; antennal funicle ferruginous, antennal club black. Head. As in Fig. 40 View FIGURES 36–41 . Gena 0.80 X as long as width of head immediately behind eyes. Contours of genae in dorsal view weakly converging anteriad. Vertex dorsally subglabrous; laterally behind eye sparsely punctate. Eyes in dorsal view weakly prominent from lateral contour of head. Profile of vertex with marked constriction immediately behind eye. Ventral surface of head in front of gular region moderately sculptured; with median furrow behind base of rostrum pitlike impressed, posteriorly shallow; with row of deep punctures bordering margin of eye, posteriorly with shallow transverse wrinkles. Rostrum 1.96 X as long as mouthparts; at widest point 1.38 X wider than at base; in profile dorsal contour above antennal insertion with weak rounded prominence, anteriorly in weakly convex line to apex; ventral contour subangulate with head (ca. 120°), weakly sinuate to apex; ventrally on submentum with numerous long, stiff, suberect setae. Mouthparts. Prementum at base 2.0 X wider than long, ca. 2.6 X wider than at apex; with straight lateral margins converging apicad; apical processes rounded, of equal length, on same level dorsoventrally. Antenna slender, as in Fig. 66 View FIGURES 56–72 . Prothorax 0.98 X as long as wide; preapical constriction shallow; disc basally in front of subbasal constriction with pair of indistinct, submedian swellings; shining, impunctate; sides with dense, moderately deep punctures. Metanotum laterally rooflike extended and subangularly projecting, but without distinct lateral lobes. Elytron 2.25 X longer than wide; striae basally deeply impressed, towards apex becoming shallower. Thoracic venter. Height of pterothorax 0.81 X length of elytron. Procoxa in anterior aspect 1.17 X as long as wide. Legs. Profemur subsymmetrically clavate, moderately swollen, thickest at 0.33 of length from apex, at base with indistinct stalk. Protibia evenly weakly curved ventrad; ventral contour slightly sinuate, subparallel to dorsal contour. Mesotibia dorsally before apex with subangulate lobe, its apical edge leading obliquely towards uncus; overall shape of tibia subtriangular. Mesotarsus straight, 2.8 X as long as wide. Metatibia of similar size as mesotibia. Abdomen. Ventral contour anteriorly straight in lateral view, evenly rounded to constriction between sternite VI and VII. Ventral surface of sternite III subglabrous, sternites IV–VI laterally with sparse subrecumbent setae, medially subglabrous; sternite VI without median knob or swelling in front of posterior margin. Pygidium 0.97 X wider than long; microreticulate throughout; densely, moderately deeply punctate; densely, deeply punctate. Genitalia. Apex of tergite VIII curved in evenly convex line. Sternite VIII as in Fig. 184 View FIGURES 170–186 . Tegminal plate ( Fig. 133 View FIGURES 131–135 ) with sides weakly converging apicad; apical edge subtruncate, densely setose with moderately long setae. Aedeagus. Apical scoop of pedon ( Fig. 168 View FIGURES 160–169 ) ca. 1.38 X as long as wide, with lateral margins weakly convex, converging; apex subangulate. Tectum as in Fig. 169 View FIGURES 160–169 ; lateral frame converging with sinuate sides to pointed apex; subapically without extensions. TA as in Fig. 91–92 View FIGURES 91–93 ; transfer processes long, in lateral aspect markedly curved,

in dorsal aspect straight, their shape resembling a short flagellum, but in apical portion both processes clearly divided; this complex only loosely attached to structurally simplified frame of TA; the latter forming a relatively large sclerite of the shape of an inverted U; without distinct dorsal plate; internal support structures of ductus ejaculatorius moderately long. Endophallus somewhat twisted anticlockwise from plane of aedeagus. Cuticle of endophallus in apical 0.38 (of total length of aedeagus) with dense, subtriangular denticles; in mid portion with pair of elongate sclerites; without any setae between these sclerites ( Fig. 93 View FIGURES 91–93 ).

Allotype, female. Same as holotype except: length, pronotum + elytron: 2.56 mm. Head as in Fig. 54 View FIGURES 46–55 . Gena 0.74 X as long as width of head immediately behind eyes. Profile of vertex with shallow constriction immediately behind eye. Rostrum 1.76 X as long as mouthparts; at widest point 1.50 X wider than at base. Prothorax 0.94 X as long as wide. Disk at middle with very shallow transverse impression. Elytron 2.21 X longer than wide. Thoracic venter. Height of pterothorax 0.85 X length of elytron. Procoxa in anterior aspect 1.09 X as long as wide. Legs. Dorsal contour of profemur sinuate, in basal third straight, continuing in markedly convex line to apex. Protibia straight [right tibia broken and missing]; ventral contour basally straight, at middle convex, apically concave; ventral surface crenulate, with subrecumbent to suberect setae; tibial apex with uncus only, without premucro. Abdomen. Setose patch of venter 1.63 X as long as wide, consisting of 3 double rows of modified setae. Pygidium 1.14 X wider than long. Genitalia. Sternite VIII as in Fig. 201 View FIGURES 189–202 . Tergite VIII with sides apicad converging; apex rounded. Spermatheca as in Fig. 217 View FIGURES 204–219 ; without siphonlike extension at junction with ductus; shape robust; somewhat tapering towards apex. Length of ductus spermathecae plus spermatheca 1.7 X as long as tergite VIII.
