Labenidea Rohwer, 1920: 413 . Type-species: Grotea superba Schmiedeknecht View in CoL , by original designation. ( Gauld, 2000) Diagnosis. Clypeus with apical margin concave, exposing the labrum, laterally slightly raised, mandibles with upper tooth longer than the lower tooth; gena close to junction of occipital and hypostomal carinae and raised into a lobe that projects backwards and inwards. Metasomal insertion above but close to coxal insertions. Hind wing with 6–8 basal hamuli on Rs. Metasoma with tergite I bowed upwards, fused to sternite.
