Ctenus brevitarsus Bryant 1940: 379 , figs 159, 164 (male holotype from Guantánamo, Cuba, 10.III.1913, Ramsden, deposited in MCZ 20587; a female allotype and a male paratype with the same data as holotype; a male paratype from Guantánamo, Cuba, 12.IV.1913, Ramsden; a female paratype from Soledad, Granma, Cuba, II.1925, Salt; a male paratype and a female paratype from Soledad, Granma, Cuba, 12.VIII.1931, Worley; a male paratype from Mina Carlota, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, 19–25.III.1925, Salt & Myers; a female paratype from Mina Carlota, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, 8–14.V.1936, P. Diagnosis. Males of Ohvida brevitarsus resemble those of O. vernalis by the shape of RTA and median apophysis, but can be distinguished by the elongated retrodorsal projection on cymbium and by the laminar projection in the embolus ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 A–B). Females of Ohvida brevitarsus resemble those of O. vernalis by the shape of the median plate and the round head of the spermathecae, but can be distinguished by the comparatively large size of the epigyne and internally by the large posterior area of the copulatory ducts ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 C–D).
