Etymology. The name of this species refers to the Conservation Unit where it was collected, Reserva Extrativista do Ciriaco, located in southwestern Maranhão, Brazil.

Diagnosis. Males of the Myrmecotypus ciriaco spec. nov. resembles those of M. haddadi Perger & Rubio, 2021 and M. niger Chickering, 1937 by the presence of a sclerotized RTP and tibia I ventral spination 3-3 but differs by the coxae I and II white (only coxa II white in M. niger and M. haddadi Perger & Rubio, 2021 ), by the wide base of the RTP and by the embolus straight ( Fig. 22G View FIGURE 22 ). Females differ from those all other species by the presence of the posterior plate ( Fig. 22I, J View FIGURE 22 ).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length 5.14. Carapace 2.81 long, 1.29 wide. Sternum 1.85 long, 0.82 wide. Abdomen 3.28 long, 2.22 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.12, ALE 0.05, PME 0.06, PLE 0.07. Eye inter-distances: AME-AME 0.08, AME-ALE 0.05, ALE-PLE 0.17, PME-PME 0.24, PME-PLE 0.15, AME-PME 0.11. Carapace darker, with shallow constriction between cephalic and thoracic regions, anterior margin truncated, covered with feathery hairs, reinforced on sides and anteriorly, thoracic region with long hairs on surface ( Fig. 22A, B View FIGURE 22 ). Endites and labium yellowish-brown. Chelicerae dark-brown, two retromarginal teeth different sizes and one small denticle, three promarginal teeth equal and equidistant. Sternum dark-brown and elongate. Abdomen pear-shaped, with nearly complete dark brown dorsal scute covered by feathery hairs ( Fig. 22B View FIGURE 22 ). Ventral scute quadrangular-shaped, brownish, tracheal scute same color. Coxae I and II translucent white, III and IV dark-brown ( Fig. 22C View FIGURE 22 ). Femora I and II white, proximal area darker and darker ventrolaterally and dorsally; patellae and tibiae I and II white dorsal and ventrally, darker pro- and retrolaterally; metatarsi I and II darker, tarsi I and II white. Legs III and IV dark-brown with tarsi white. Leg measurements: I—femur 1.25 / tibia 1.14 / metatarsus 0.83; II—femur 1.18 / tibia 1.03 / metatarsus 0.80; III—femur 1.18 / tibia 0.83 / metatarsus 0.96; IV—femur 1.92 / tibia 1.20 / metatarsus 1.33. Palp without RTA, globose genital bulb drawn into short neck, sperm duct five-folded ( Fig. 22G, H View FIGURE 22 ).

Female (paratype). Total length 5.65. Carapace 3.15 long, 1.37 wide. Sternum 1.26 long, 0.96 wide. Abdomen 3.18 long, 2.46 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.19, ALE 0.07, PME 0.14, PLE 0.13. Eye inter-distances: AME-AME 0.12, AME-ALE 0.05, ALE-PLE 0.12, PME-PME 0.23, PME-PLE 0.16, AME-PME 0.14. Carapace shape and collar as in male. Endites and labium brown. Chelicerae brown, two retromarginal teeth different sizes and one small denticle, three promarginal teeth equal and equidistant. Sternum and abdomen as in male, with large, dark-brown dorsal scute, feathery hairs covering as in male. Ventral scute absent and tracheal scute present. Coxae I and II translucent white, III and IV brown. Femora I and II white on pro- and retromargin, with two brown ventrolateral lines and brown dorsally; patellae, tibiae and tarsi white; metatarsi yellowish-brown. Legs III and IV yellowish-brown, with patellae white ventrally. Leg measurements: I—femur 2.11 / tibia 2.05 / metatarsus 1.83; II—femur 1.74 / tibia 1.58 / metatarsus 1.47; III—femur 1.70 / tibia 1.46 / metatarsus 1.59; IV—femur 2.49 / tibia 2.16 / metatarsus 2.430. Epigyne without transverse ridge, with two small posterior plates. Vulva with two moderately large, globose spermathecae with long necks. Copulatory duct moderately thin, inserted ventrally ( Fig. 22I, J View FIGURE 22 ).
