Apochinomma formica Simon, 1896: 409 View in CoL (holotype, ♂, Le Para [ Belém , Pará Brazil], in Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, MNHN 2.582 About MNHN , examined).

Diagnosis. Males of Myrmecotypus formicus ( Simon, 1896) comb. nov. resemble those of M. rubrofemoratus Perger & Rubio, 2021 and M. drogon spec. nov. by the tibia I ventral spination 3-3 and the presence of a tegular process; they differ by the blunt RTP, which narrower than the embolus ( Fig. 14I View FIGURE 14 ).

Redescription. Male (MPEG(ARA)-004528). Total length 4.99. Carapace 2.81 long, 1.16 wide. Sternum 1.16 long, 0.44 wide. Abdomen 1.96 long, 1.29 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.12, ALE 0.04, PME 0.08, PLE 0.08. Eye inter-distances: AME-AME 0.05, AME-ALE 0.02, ALE-PLE 0.10, PME-PME 0.18, PME-PLE 0.15, AME-PME 0.09. Carapace long and narrow, reddish-brown, with smooth constriction between cephalic and thoracic region, anterior margin truncated, lateral margin with two moderate constrictions, cephalic and thoracic region at the same elevation. Labium and endites light brown with darker spots. Chelicerae brown, three promarginal teeth and two retromarginal teeth equal and equidistant. Sternum brown, elongate, narrower between legs III and IV. Abdomen oval, with dorsal scute reddish-brown and covered by feathery hairs. Ventral and tracheal scutes present. Only coxa II translucent white, coxa I light brown, remaining coxae brown. Legs I and II with femur white along promargin and retromargin, brown dorsally and ventrally. Trochanter and tibia yellowish-brown in dorsal and ventral view, brown along promargin and retromargin. Metatarsus brown. Legs III and IV light brown, with patellae and tarsi yellow. Leg measurements: I—femur 1.36 / tibia 1.41 / metatarsus 1.15; II—femur 1.56 / tibia 1.19 / metatarsus 0.99; III—femur 1.20 / tibia 1.02 / metatarsus 1.02; IV—femur 1.87 / tibia 1.59 / metatarsus 1.55. Spination: Ifemora do 1-0-1-1, pl 0-0-0-1; tibiae ve 2-2-2 (3-3); metatarsi ve 2-2/ II-femora do 1-0-1-1, pl 0-1-0-0, rl 0-1-0-0; tibiae pl 0-1-0-0, rl 0-1-0-0, ve 2-2-2; metatarsi ve 2-2/ III-femora do 0-0-1-1; pl 0-1-1, rl 0-1-1; tibiae do 0-0-1, pl 0-1-1, rl 0-1-1, ve 2-2; metatarsi pl 1-1-0-1, rl 1-1-0-1, ve 2-2-2-1/ IV-femora do 1-0-1-1, pl 0-0-0-1, rl 0-0-0-1; tibiae do 0-0-1, pl 1-0-1, rl 1-0-1, ve p 1-0-1; metatarsi pl 1-1-0-1, rl 1-1-0-1, ve 2-2. Tibia I ventral spination: 3-3. Palp without RTA; globose genital bulb drawn into neck, ending in three terminal structures: short, thin, slightly twisted apical embolus, blunt retroapical tegular projection, narrower than embolus, and short, blunt sclerotized process ( Fig. 14I, J View FIGURE 14 ).

Variation. Length (1♂) total 4.73, carapace 2.62, femur I 1.24.
