Diagnosis. Males of Myrmecotypus rubrofemoratus resemble those of M. formicus comb. nov. and M. drogon spec. nov. by the tibia I ventral spination 3-3 and by the presence of a tegular process in the male palp ( Figs 14D, I) but can recognized by the RTP being wider than the embolus ( Fig. 14D). Females differ from other Myrmecotypus by the presence of two furrows below the copulatory openings (Perger & Rubio 2021: fig. 3B)
