Diagnosis. Males of Myrmecotypus rubrofemoratus resemble those of M. formicus comb. nov. and M. drogon spec. nov. by the tibia I ventral spination 3-3 and by the presence of a tegular process in the male palp ( Figs 14D, I View FIGURE 14 ) but can recognized by the RTP being wider than the embolus ( Fig. 14D View FIGURE 14 ). Females differ from other Myrmecotypus by the presence of two furrows below the copulatory openings (Perger & Rubio 2021: fig. 3B)

New records. PERU: Madre de Dios, Zona Reservada Manu, Puesto Reservada de Manu, Puesto de Vigil. , Pakitza , Zone 2 forest, 11°58’S 71°18’W, 1♂, 9.X.1987, D. Silva & J. Coddington leg. ( USMN) GoogleMaps .

Distribution. Peru and Bolivia ( Fig. 26 View FIGURE 26 ).
