Material examined. Three adults from an estuary in Janggil-ri, Guryongpo, Pohang (35°57′0 1″N, 129°32′26″E) (locality 7 on Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), 29 May 2010. Three adults from detritus in an estuary in Goggangcheon Stream, Pohang (36°0 7′43″N, 129°24′0 5″E) (locality 6 on Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), 19 May 2010. One adult from a beach in an estuary of Wangpicheon Stream, Uljin (36°58′10″N, 129°24′40″E) (locality 3 on Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), 26 July 2010. Remarks. This species has been found around the Sea of Japan (= the East Sea), the Seto Inland Sea, and the Pacific coast of Honshu and Hokkaido, Japan ( Okubo 1980; Nakao & Tsukagoshi 2002; Smith & Kamiya 2003), as well as Korea ( Lee et al. 2000). It is a brackish water species, typically found in estuaries, but it has also been recorded from freshwater rockpools along coasts (Smith & Kamiya 2006).
