Remarks. The species is reported for the first time from South America. Peruvian specimens are much larger than most Costa Rican specimens, with a body length 8.1–9.3 mm and fore wing length 5.5–6.5 mm (usually 5.0–7.0 mm and 4.0–5.0 mm in Costa Rican specimens, respectively), flagellum with 35–37 segments, second tergite of metasoma 1.7–2.1× as long as broad anteriorly, and ovipositor sheath 1.6–2.0× as long as first tergite.

Material examined. Peru, Loreto: 3 ♀ (ZMUT) Iquitos Area, Allpahuayo, clayish soil, 4–20.X.1998, 29.VI– 16.VII, 15–28.XII.2000, coll. I.E. Sääksjärvi et al. 1 ♀ (ZISP) same data, but varillal, 18.IX–4.X.1998. 1 ♀ (BMNH) same data, but white sand, 8.XI–1.XII.2000. 1 ♀ (ZMUT) same locality, 30º58′17′′ S, 73º25′20′′ W, 19– 26.IV.2011, coll. I. Gómez & I.E. Sääksjärvi. 1 ♀ (ZMUT) same data, but 30º58′29′′ S, 73º25′46′′ W, 31.X– 6.XI.2011. 1 ♀ (ZMUT) same locality and collectors, sweeping, IV.2011. 1 ♀ (CEUA) Iquitos Area, Mishana, clayish soil, 1–16.X.1998, coll.
