Exochus monticola Tolkanitz, 1999

( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 )

Material examined. Holotype: female, KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty Region: Uigurskyi District, Ketmen’ , 2000 m, 23.vi.1991, leg. V. Ermolenko (deposited in: SIZK).

Diagnosis. Exochus monticola is characterized by the combination of the following characters: face not strongly swollen, black with apical yellow line; frons black; yellow mark opposite to lateral ocelli not elongated; clypeus with apical margin straight; occipital carina absent dorsally; meso- and metasoma black except upper hind corner of pronotum narrowly yellow; propodeum area superomedia closed apically, costulae absent; fore wing with vein cu-a opposite to Rs&M; third laterotergite? straight from the proximal end, wedge-shaped; legs generally dark: coxae, trochanter and trochantelli black except fore coxae yellow apically, fore and mid femora femora brown, yellow apically, hind femur brown, tibiae with subbasal yellowish ring.

Distribution. Currently known from Kazakhstan ( Tolkanitz 2007a).

Remarks. According to Tolkanitz (2007a) this species has yellow basally hind tibia. After examination of the holotype it was found that hind tibia is clearly fuscous basally. In addition, third laterotrgite looks for me closer to ‘wedge-shaped’ than to ‘rounded’ as it is stated in the key.
