Acrocercops deversa Meyrick, 1922: 563 . TL: Assam, India. TD: BMNH (Syntypes).

Redescription. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–3 ). Wingspan 8.0–9.0mm.

Head white with slender scales; occiput with erected tuft; scales around eyes intermixed with white; maxillary palpus white and smooth with brown apical part; first segment of labial palpus white with ochreous patch laterally; antenna grayish ochreous ventrally and white dorsally, scape ochreous mixed with white dorsally and fuscous laterally. Thorax white with a tiny ochreous spot; tegula coloration the same as for forewing or darker; legs white; fore coxa and femur white with a fine fuscous line on lateral side; fore tibia blackish brown on ventral part and white dorsally with goldish brown spot near subbasal part; fore tarsus with three fuscous rings, a subbasal ring about 2 times broader than other rings; the rest of the rings at same intervals; middle femur with a fuscous patch ventrally; middle tibia with a fuscous spot at median part; middle tarsus with four fuscous rings, claw fuscous; hind femur entirely white; hind tarsus with five fuscous rings, second ring is situated at basal part and it is ca. 2 times wider than the first and the third ring, fourth and fifth rings are minute and slender; claw fuscous.

Forewing ground color dark ochreous with a white longitudinal streak; the white longitudinal streak stretches from base to 2/3 of forewing, does not meet the dorsal margin but extends to 3/5 of forewing; apex of streak oblique turning outwards at basal part; a white stria with black edge on costal margin at 3/4 of forewing, extended from base to median part and slightly broaden at costal basal part; a broaden white fascia and a fuscous line runs near apex, apex with a black spot; cilia ochreous, white at tornus and fuscous along apical line.

Male genitalia ( Fig 5 View FIGURES 4–7 ). Tegumen elongated, broaden near basal part, narrowed at median part with parallel sided lateral arms running to apex; two setose areas present laterally. Valva well developed, broaden at apex, spatulate apically and slightly curved to inner side at 2/3 from basal part; densely covered with long and slender setae except for costal area; setae shorter on outer margin of apical part of valva; setae sparse and longer at basal part. Vinculum long with lateral arms running parallel towards saccus; saccus short with rounded apex. Aedeagus bar-shaped with rounded and slightly curved apex; apex sclerotized upto 1/4 of aedeagus; vesica with 10–30 spines on apex and the rest of the spines run like a small zigzag wrinkle.

Female genitalia ( Fig 6 View FIGURES 4–7 ). Papillae anales covered with short and long setae apically, sclerotized ring present basally; apophyses posteriores as long as apophyses anteriores. Ostium bursae narrow at entrance; antrum short, sclerotized and divided into two parts. Ductus bursae as long as 3 times the length of corpus bursae, tiny longitudinal spinose area near antrum; strongly sclerotized broad ring with two horns just near corpus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate, half smooth and membranous, half covered with many of small spines that are running to caudal part; a band of small and round signa present on median part.
