Remarks: This species is easy to differentiate from all other Heteragrion species in Colombia by its completely black head ( Fig. 5E ), red abdomen in males, female intersternite with a rounded dorsal plate ( Fig. 14C ), and genital valves not reaching distal border of S10 ( Fig. 14A ). We report it here for the first time from Boyacá and Valle del Cauca Departments.
