Two flowering specimens collected in 1994 in Kigoma distr. in Tanzania, Bidgood, Mbago & Vollesen 2772 & 2858, represent a new species for the tropical East Africa Flora region. Ŋe plants most likely belong to C. carringtoniana but the characteristic fruits are not collected yet to confirm this identity.
