T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: Brazil, Estado do Bahia, Encruzilhada ,?- XI-1972, M. Alvarenga ( WOPC).
D i a g n o s i s: Cranium black, vested with white setae; pronotum mostly black, vested with black setae, pronotal collar testaceous; elytra with basal tubercle and white lunulate fascia, elytral basal 1/3 and elytral apex testaceous, each elytron with circular black macula, elytral apex with patch of white setae; pterothorax and legs testaceous; abdomen black.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.0 mm; width 1.2 mm. Form: As in Fig. 2 View Figs 1-4 . Head: Capitulum slightly obtuse; (EW/FW 20/100). Thorax: Elytral disc partially roughly punctate; (PL/PW 180/180); (EL/EW 350/80). Abdomen: Female pygidium scutiform.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, bahia, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
