T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil, Corcovado , Guanabara , XI-1961, Seabra e Alvarenga ( WOPC).
D i a g n o s i s: Antenna brown; cranium highly setose, setae white; pronotum profusely vested with black seta; elytral ground color black, each elytron base with angular fascia and transverse fascia, elytra apex with testaceous round marking; legs densely setose.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 13 View Figs 13-16 . Head: Capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 24/60). Thorax: Elytral disc partially roughly punctate; (PL/PW 150/150); (EL/EW 300/80). Abdomen: Aedeagus not dissected.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, corcovado, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
