T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: Trinidad, West Indies, Cura Valley , N 10.704, W61. 386. 10-VII-10-VIII-2003, A. W. Hook ( FSCA) . Paratypes: 2 specimens. TRINIDAD: Paria, Brasso Seco , 5-7-VIII-2003, A. W. Hook, Carl Fitz James ( UTBC, 1) ; TRINIDAD: Simla Field Station, Arima Valley , malaise, 30-VI-13-VII-1977, P. Feinsinger ( WOPC, 1) .
D i a g n o s i s: Pronotum mostly black, anterior margin white; elytra base slightly tumescent, elytra tricolorous, base 1/3 castaneous, 2/3 mostly black, with curvate fascia and with subcircular testaceous marking; antenna, mouthparts, legs, and mesothorax testaceous.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.0 mm; width 3.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 16 View Figs 13-16 . Head: (EW/FW 30/70). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; elytra roughly punctate; (PL/PW 140/140); (EL/EW 330/80). Abdomen: Female pygidium scutiform.
V a r i a t i o n: Length 6.0-7-0 mm; width 1.0- 1.2 mm. E t y m o l o g y: The species name, cura, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
