T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil, Ceará, Serra de Baturíté, Gounelle ,?- I-1885 ( MNHN) . Paratypes: 2 specimens. BRAZIL: Estado do Ceará ; Serra de Baturíté, Gounelle ,?- I-1885 ( MNHN, 1; WOPC, 1) .
D i a g n o s i s: Mostly black; each elytron with 4 yellow markings, posterior pair of markings curvate.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 5.0 mm; width 1.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 8 View Figs 5-8 . Head: Capitulum acuminate; (EW/FW 20/43). Thorax: Elytral disc minutely punctate; (PL/PW 80/80); (EL/EW 230/66). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 68).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, ceara, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
