T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: Bolivia, 31-VIII-89, NW Rurrenabaque, Tumupasa ( RGCM).
D i a g n o s i s: Antenna, mouthparts, cranium, and pronotum red; legs and venter black; each elytron with two angular conjoined lines and 2 linear fasciae.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 6.0 mm; width 1.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 55 View Figs 53-56 . Head: (EW/FW 20/50). Thorax: Pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW 90/90); (EL/EW 240/70). Abdomen: Female pygidium scutiform.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, rubra, is a Latin adjective and means "red".
