T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil, Nova Teutonia, 27º11′ B 52º 23′, E 300- 500 m, I-1973, Fritz Plaumann ( WFBM) . Paratypes: 3 specimens. BRAZIL: Estado do Santa Catarina ; Nova Teutonia,?- II-1974, F. Plaumann ( WOPC, 2) ; idem, collection date not noted, collector not noted ( WFBM, 2) .
D i a g n o s i s: Mostly black; antennae, tibiae, and tarsi testaceous; elytra with three yellow markings; elytral apex setose.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.1 mm. Form: As in Fig. 57 View Figs 57-60 . Head. (EW/FW 20/50). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW-110/110); (EL/EW 240/75). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 106 View Figs 101-110 ).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, teutonia, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
