Material: 1♂, 1♀, Colombia, Bogotá, Chapinero, Quebrada La Vieja , 16.xi.2016, leg. W. Mey ( MfN) ; 13♂, 2♀, same locality, 6.ii.2017, leg. W. Mey ( MfN) .

Remarks. The species was determined according to the illustrations by Johanson (2002). There is a slight variation in the male genitalia, which we think is infraspecific. The species was described from the Cordillera Merida in Venezuela. This mountain range is a prolongation of the Cordillera Oriental in Colombia, where the species is probably widely distributed. The species belongs to the subgenus Feropsyche Johanson 1998 , which is endemic to the Neotropic and Nearctic Regions.
