Diagnosis

Cautires arribasae sp. nov. is one of the species with a brightly coloured humeral part of elytra and black pronotum. The species resembles C. alexae sp. nov. and C. kotatinggensis sp. nov. in general appearance and differs in the large eyes, the shape of the pronotum ( Figs 21, 23, 31 View Figs 21–38 ), and phallus ( Figs 59, 61, 69 View Figs 59–78 ).

Etymology

The specific epithet is proposed in honour of Paula Arribas, a colleague studying beetle soil communities.
