Hyperlais conspersalis Mey, 2011: 244–5 .

Imago (fig. 4): Wingspan 13–15 mm. Described by Mey (2011).

Male genitalia (fig. 51): Described by Mey (2011).

Female genitalia (fig. 85): Described by Mey (2011).

Diagnosis: The hindwing of the adult shows a marked contrast between the dark costal area and the white of the dorsal part. In the male genitalia the evenly tapered valva and the two cornuti in the aedeagus are diagnostic.

Life history (figs. p.72): Has been reared from flowers and leaves of Maerua juncea and M. rosmarinoides (A. & I. Sharp), larvae i, iv & ix.

Distribution: Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa.
