Subgenus Heliocasnonia Liebke, 1938 View in CoL .
Type species: Casnonia metallica Fairmaire, 1889 by original designation.
The genus Odacantha is presently composed of three subgenera: Odacantha s. str., containing three species distributed almost throughout the Palaearctic region; Neocolliuris with nine species within the Afrotropical regions; Heliocasnonia with three species distributed in South-East Asia only. Heliocasnonia is relatively well described (with the warnings we have expressed above concerning all the genera and subgenera of Odacanthini ); two of its species are easily identifiable, while the other one is scarcely known.
