Holepyris micidus Evans, 1977

This species was previously known from Brazil (Paraná, Santa Catarina). Now it is recorded for the first time from Pará, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Diagnosis. Mandibles edentate; third antennal segment 2.0–3.2 X as long as wide; flagellar pubescence suberect; WH 0.77–0.98 X LH; WF 1.1–1.5 X HE; anterior angle of ocellar triangle about a right angle or acute; pronotal disc 1.1–1.6 X as wide as long; propodeal disc 0.88–1.10 X as wide as long, with three carinae and strong transverse striae.

Variation. Body length from 1.44 to 2.5 mm; head and thorax black; metasoma brown or piceous; mandibles light castaneous; clypeus light castaneous or dark brown; antennae dark brown; legs entirely light castaneous, light brown or yellow, or with coxae and femora dark brown, tibiae and tarsi light castaneous.
