Holepyris tenuis Evans, 1977

This species was originally described from Entre Rios, Argentina. Now it is recorded for the first time from Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Paraná).

Diagnosis. Mandibles bidentate; third antennal segment slightly wider than long or 1.0 X as wide as long; WH 0.72–0.86 X LH; WF 1.18–2.10 X HE; anterior angle of ocellar triangle about a right angle; pronotal disc 1.3–1.6 X as wide as long; propodeal disc 0.75–1.00 X as wide as long, with three strong carinae and sometimes with two weaker carinae; front femora 2.05–2.30 X as long as wide.

Variation. Body length from 2.1 to 3.0 mm; metasoma wholly light castaneous or sometimes light castaneous apically; mandibles and antennae light castaneous; legs totally yellow with coxae and femora more dark, or wholly castaneous.
