Type locality. supra Haría, Lanzarote, Canary Islands.

Lectotype: 1„ (dark red card-line) slightly immature [Haría] [Type], January 1858, leg. Wollaston and Gray (ex litt.) [ Laparocerus / rasus /Woll. type], NHM, London. Paralectotypes: 3 exx (one, very immature). Lanzarote: s. Haría, leg. Wollaston and Gray, January 1858, March 1859 +Monte Famara, leg. Lowe. NHM, London. 2„„, 2♀♀, same data (January 1858) [Hope Entomological/Collections/Wollaston Coll.] [ Laparocerus / rasus Woll. ]. UMO, Oxford. 1 ex, same data. MNHN (Coll. Oberthür-Wollaston), Paris.

Remarks. Wollaston separated the single specimen from Fuerteventura as Laparocerus rasus var. ss and is to be excluded from the type series of rasus .
