Type locality. Campo do Baixo , Island of Porto Santo, Madeiran archipelago .

Lectotype: 1„, December 1948, Campo do Baixo , Porto Santo, leg. Wollaston (ex litt.). MNH, London. Specimen pinned-through . Paralectotypes: 4 exx, same data (1♀ labelled ‘‘Type’’) [ Atlantis inconstans Woll. ]. NHM, London. All specimens pinned-through .

Remarks. The original type series was larger (‘‘plurima specimina detexi’’).
