Remarks. Roudier (1957a) incorrectly presented a replacement name for L. squamosus Brullé sensu Wollaston, 1864 (non Brullé, 1839) since a replacement name must be proposed for an available name, and a misidentification is not such. This mention would make L. tenuepunctatus (nom. nov.) an unavailable name. Nonetheless, Roudier himself highlights the diagnostic characters of L. tenuepunctatus and disregards the rest of the characteristics mentioned in the detailed description of the insects by Wollaston (‘‘tout à fait illusoires’’). Roudier’s diagnosis can be accepted as an available description and I have designated as lectotype one specimen labelled by Roudier with extreme detail.
