Type locality. Los Tilos, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands.

Holotype: 1„ [Gen. 24] [Moya (Gde Canarie)/Bois de laurier, sous pierres/Mars 51. Pécoud] [ TYPE] [ Laparocerus ( Pecoudius subg. n.)/ cymbula Roudier n.sp. /A. Roudier det.]. MNHN (Coll. Roudier), Paris. Ventrites separated. Aedeagus on separate preparation (Roudier, no. 24). Paratypes: 2♀♀, same data, 1♀ [La Palma/M. Pécoud]5labelling error! MNHN, Paris. 1♀, Gran Canaria, El Brezal, 21–23 March 1952, J. Mateu (f. Roudier).

Remarks. L. cymbula is identical with L. eliasenae Uyttenboogart 1929 , becoming a junior synonym of it (new synonym!). It is the type species of the subgenus Pecoudius Roudier, 1957 , by original designation.
