Type locality. Ribeiro Frío, Island of Madeira.

Lectotype: 1„ immature (with mandibular appendage), much rubbed [372] Ribeiro Frío (ex litt.) leg. Wollaston [Type] [ Atlantis / calcatrix /Woll. type]. NHM, London. Paralectotype: 1♀ Fateiras (ex litt.). NHM, London.

Remarks. Marseul (1872, p 546) proposed the invalid replacement name L. calcator for this taxon.
