Note. Nicolet (1855) described and illustrated a purported nymph (“larva”) of this species. Oudemans (1915b) noted that it was neither nymph of A. striculus nor any other species, but rather an adult mite that he named Phthiracarus undatus Oudemans ( Norton & Ermilov 2014).
