Docosia Winnertz 1863: 802 . Type-species, Mycetophila sciarina Meigen ( Johannsen 1909: 92) . Ref.— Oliveira & Amorim 2011 (notes on the Neotropical fauna, new species).

D. cuzcoensis Edwards 1933: 321 . Type-locality: Peru, Cuzco, 3500–4200 m. Holotype ♂, MTD.

Notes. The type series included the male holotype and five male paratypes. The holotype is in the MTD and there is a pair of male paratypes from the type-locality at the NHM (BMNH(E) # 254347-8). One of them is in excellent condition; the terminalia are not dissected.

D. pammela Edwards 1933: 322 . Type-locality: Peru, Río Urubamba, 3000 m; Paragay, Hohenau ; Paraguay, La Cordillera, San Bernardino (on Caesaria silvestris inflorescences). Syntypes ♂ ♀, MTD, NHW.

Notes. The original description makes reference to a male from Urubamba , Peru, a male from Hohenau, Paraguay (in the MTD), and a male and two females from San Bernardino, Paraguay in the Vienna Museum. One of these latter females is at the NHM ( BMNH (E) # 254349). The designation of the syntype is to be made elsewhere .
