Paratrizygia Tonnoir View in CoL View at ENA

Paratrizygia Tonnoir 1929: 605 View in CoL . Type-species, P. conformis Tonnoir View in CoL (orig. des.). Ref.— Oliveira & Amorim 2010a: 44 View Cited Treatment (key for the Neotropical species), new species; Amorim et al. 2011: 48 View Cited Treatment (holotype redescription), 49, figs. 1 (wing), 2 (♂ terminalia); 50, fig. 3 (♂ terminalia illustration).

P. infuscata Freeman 1951: 63 View in CoL , figs. 124–125 (♂ terminalia). Type-locality: Chile, Llanquihue , Casa Pangue. Holotype ♂, NHM.

( Figure 37 View FIGURES 31–43 )

Notes. The type series included the male holotype and three male paratypes, of which the holotype and a male paratype are at the NHM. The holotype labels are: “ Paratrizygia / infuscata [hw] / Freeman. / HOLOTYPE ” [printed on red label]” // [male terminalia on a microslide attached to an acetate sheet] // “HOLO- / TYPE” [printed in black on a rounded label with red border]” // “Casa Pangue / 10.xii.1926.” // “S. Chile: / Lanquihue Prov. / F. & M. Edwards / B.M. 1927–63.” // “BMNH(E) # / 257966”. The paratype is numbered BMNH(E) # 257967 .

P. quadripectinata ( Edwards) 1940a: 461 ( Parvicellula ). Type-locality: Brazil, Santa Catarina, Nova Teutônia. Holotype ♂, NHM.

( Figure 38 View FIGURES 31–43 )

Notes. The type series included only the male holotype. Its labels are: “ Brasilien / Nova Teutonia / 27º 11’ S 52º 23’ W / Fritz Plaumann / 5.8.1938.” // “Brit Mus / 1938-636” // “Type” [printed in black on a rounded label with red border]” // “ Parvicellula / quadripectinata [hw] / F.W. Edwards 193[pr]9[hw]” // [male terminalia dissected, mounted on an acetate sheet]. There is no NHM type number label with the specimen GoogleMaps .

P. setifera Freeman 1951: 62 View in CoL , figs. 121–122 (♂ terminalia), 279 (wing). Type-locality: Argentina, Río Negro, Bariloche. Holotype ♂, NHM.

( Figure 39 View FIGURES 31–43 )

Notes. The type series included the male holotype, seventeen male and eight female paratypes, of which the holotype and twenty paratypes are at the NHM. The holotype is not in good condition, both wings missing and the abdomen entirely removed from the specimen. The labels in the holotype are: “ Paratrizygia / setifera [hw] / Freeman. / HOLOTYPE ” [printed on red label]” // [male terminalia on a microslide attached to an acetate sheet] // “HOLO- / TYPE” [printed in black on a rounded label with red border]” // “Bariloche / 1.xii.1926.” // “ Argentina: / Terr. Río Negro / F. & M. Edwards / B.M. 1927–63.” // “BMNH(E) # / 257944”. At the NHM there are ten males, six females and two specimens with the abdomen missing. One specimen from Putra ( Chile) labeled as paratype was not referred to in the original description and has a “no type status” label by N.P. Wyatt. The paratypes are numbered BMNH(E) # 257945-64. One of the paratypes was entirely slide mounted .

P. spinulosa Freeman 1951: 62 View in CoL , fig. 123. Type-locality: Chile, Llanquihue , Casa Pangue. Holotype ♂, NHM.

( Figure 40 View FIGURES 31–43 )

Notes. The type series included only the male holotype. The labels are: “ Paratrizygia / spinulosa [hw] / Freeman. / HOLOTYPE ” [printed on red label]” // [male terminalia on a microslide attached to an acetate sheet] // “HOLO- / TYPE” [printed in black on a rounded label with red border]” // “Casa Pangue. / 4–10.xii.1926.” // “S. Chile: / Llanquihue Prov. / F. & M. Edwards / B.M. 1927–63.” // “BMNH(E) # / 257965”.
